How do I get the cheapest tickets?
As with most forms travel fares train ticket price can very a great deal.
BUY SINGLE TICKETS, Two singles are often cheaper than a return ticket. Even if you select a return journey the option to “display single fares” is available for you to check.
BOOK IN ADVANCE, Many tickets are available several months in advance, the earlier you book the cheaper the fares can be.
TRAVEL AT OFF PEAK TIMES, Avoid busy times and travel off peak when demand and prices are lower, e.g. weekdays after 10am and not between 4pm & 6pm.
SPECIFY RETURN DATES, If you are booking a return ticket specify a return date and time. Open returns are more expensive.
BE FLEXIBLE, The more flexible with your times you are more likely cheaper fares will be available. You can click on earlier and later trains.
SPLIT YOUR JOURNEY UP, Sometimes if you book your journey seperately rather than as one ticket it can be cheaper.

What refund will I get if I cancel?
This will depend on the terms and conditions of the ticket you have purchased.
How do you send the tickets?
Tickets will be sent by recorded delivery to the address registered with us.
What if I don’t receive the tickets in time?
Tickets will be sent by the next working day after booking. If there is insufficient time to Get the ticket to you e.g. you book a ticket to travel within 24 hours it will not be sent and no money will be applied to your card.
Can the tickets be sent to a different address?
They will only be sent to the address you have registered with us.
Where is my email confirmation?
You should automatically receive confirmation by email to the address you have registered with us. If you do not please check this address is correct under “administration”. If this is correct please email us at rail@mhrtravel.com
Can I book from outside the UK?
We can send tickets outside of the UK provided that it is to the registered address. There will be an additional postage charge and once booked we will contact you to advise and confirm if acceptable.
How can I change my booking?
Contact us by phone or email and we will advise if it is changeable and if there are any additional costs.
Can I get my ticket from a fast ticket machine?
No, at present we are not able to offer this service. Fasttickets.co.uk is not affiliated in anyway to this service.
What are the charges to pay by credit card?
There is a set fee of 1.85% on all Credit Card Transactions.
What are the charges on my debit card?
There are no charges for any debit card transactions.
Why do I have to pay a ticketing fee?
This cost is to cover our administration and postage costs. We are sure you will find our service to be of a very high standard and exceptional value for money.
